Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

A great personal favorite watering hole when I was a few years younger. The outdoor bar is relaxed and dog friendly and bonus they have new flat screen TVs. The happy hour burger is legit and happy hour beers will run you 2-4 dollars. Food is better than your normal bar food. The brunch buffet is very good if you find yourself here Sunday to watch a football game. Non-pretentious, good people, good times. Bathrooms can use a renovation.

I've been to grevey's before just for their $1 beer night once but never for food. This time I came for lunch with my mom since she had an amazon local coupon giving us $40 off our meal. First impression for lunch...a bit slow it took about 5-10 mins before a host us asked us how many in our party...(no one was in front of us) then once we were seated it took about 10-15 mins before someone took our drink order and then another 15 mins to take our food order. The waitress had no paper to write the order and didn't really explain the menu. So service wise..eh needs improvement. Food: My mom decided to be boring and order a steak and cheese which she said was actually pretty good and she thought the fries were really good also. I decided to be slightly adventurous and order their deep fried oysters partially because I love oysters and its really hard to find oysters on any menu. I also ordered the smoked salmon and a asparagus salad. Fried oysters: I wish it came with cocktail sauce versus tarter sauce and with a wedge of lemon like it had said on the menu. But since it took forever for our waitress to do anything I figured i'd just deal. The oysters. Weren't bad it. tasted like a beer batter but it. Really need the freshness of lemon juice to balance out the heavy batter. My mother said she thought there was too much batter not enough oyster. I did taste the sweetness of the oyster so atleast they tasted fresh. Smoked Salmon & Asparagus w/ baby spinach leaves, grape tomatoes, hard boiled eggs, shaved Parmesan & virgin olive oil pesto. This salad was a bit disappointing because pesto is suppose to enhance things and in this case it was basically a pesto salad with a few slices of smoked salmon and 2 half spears of asparagus. If your going to serve me a smoked salmon and asparagus salad those 2 ingredients better be the most amazing ingredients. Instead it was an oversight and should've been called a pesto salad. Onion Rings: were crispy your typical beer battered rings nothing too exciting Overall..a decent meal... if we had to pay full price for it without the coupon I don't believe it would've been worth it. But I think to expect a fancy salad to be good at sports bar is a bit silly. So i'll give them credit for knowing how to do their bar food decently well. Will this become my go to? Probably not.

sticky table, absent server, flys, mediocre food, and just plain unimpressed. The only upside was the pleasant Hostess. Web site showed a lower price than the menu price.

Had the burger and fries. The burger was really a "salt burger"!! The fries were the same. Question of the chef: How many people complain that they don't have enough salt on their food? Shouldn't they just take the salt and pepper off the table? It would have been great food if they had let the people season their own food. Happy hour not 50% happy. Somewhat less. The reason is? I guess they get too much business with the salt burgers!

Had some money stolen out of my wallet in this place, with the help of the long haired bar tender.

Wow, I lived in the Falls Church/Merrifield area for about 15 years and I never ever came to eat at Grevey's. I can't believe I've been missing out on this place for so long! My boyfriend and I came here at 10pm on a Tuesday night and we were seated right away at a booth with a tv screen mounted to the wall. I love this idea especially for a sports bar/restaurant so you can watch what you want on your own screen. We decided to finally come here because I had a livingsocial coupon. Our server was a lovely lady named Ana. She was super nice and got our drinks right away. For appetizers we decided to order the nachos with chicken and chili. The order came out in about 5-6 minutes. It was huge, heaping with cheese, chicken and chili. A very generous amount and very delicious. When she came to get our orders, I wanted to get the eggcellent burger. She took my order and came back 2 minutes later and said sorry that's not on our late night menu. So I said that's fine and was thinking why the hell would you give me two menus and none of them were the late night menu. She came back a couple minutes later and said it was fine the kitchen would make it for you! I said great because I really couldn't find anything else. That was probably the only problem tonight. My boyfriend ordered the buttermilk fried chicken with mac and cheese and cornbread. The fried chicken was crispy and flavorful. The mac and cheese however was a bit disappointing, it tasted like easy mac. I ordered the eggcellent burger which had a sunny side up egg and bacon. Yummo!!! The patty was thick, the bacon was thick and perfectly crispy and the egg was perfect and not overcooked. I love it when the egg drips off the sides and then you get to dip your burger in the yolk. Overall, service was great, Ana was courteous and polite. She made sure we were happy and always asked if we needed anything. Food was definitely on point and I can't wait to come back!

Food and service great. But, as a sports bar it needs less rockin-roll back round music and more sports audio.

Decent place , outdoor patio is very nice, come as you are, good for beer and bar food, snacks, service can be slow, the patio is the selling point on this bar

Love the patio... The bar food is strong. Happy hour is solid decent prices. I go to a place like Grevey's for some drinks with friends. Not to wine and dine clients or propose to a girl, it's slightly above a dive bar and that's what I like!!! Have a great day!

I'll keep this review short and sweet. The pork tamales ($8) were a bit a bit spicy and very tasty. And the Cuban skirt steak ($22) w/ rice, plantains, black beans, and a tomato salsa was very tasty. And my server, Marissa, was very friendly, attentive, and made sure to smile a lot. She struck just the right balance between checking in and letting me just dine. As for the venue and its setup, it was pretty quiet; but it was a Tuesday night. Aside from its location in Merrifield, I think it's definitely got the potential to be a pretty awesome place to hang out or watch sports.

This is our go-to sports bar. They have a good selection of beer on tap, and a wide ranging menu that even a vegetarian can love. I am a huge fan of their veggie burger, and love that you can have a host of different sides with it (or any of their burgers/sandwiches) - you are not stuck with just fries, but a couple salad and other options. My husband really likes their jambalaya pasta, and we quite like their brushetta appetizer. We never have trouble getting a table, but I find the place can be a bit cold - not just in the winter. The air conditioning is normally cranked in the summer, and I always bring a jacket no matter the temperature outside.

I had the fried chicken and 4 Jameson's and soda waters. This came to 47.00 after tip. I sat at the bar and the bartenders were nice and attentive. The chicken was an 8/10. Not too greasy, not too dry. A little lacking on flavor though. Some spices and salt, I would recommend. The Mac and cheese tasted like a well done Kraft Mac and cheese version. 3/10 However, the corn bread that it came with was BANGING!!! 10/10.

I've been coming to Grevey's for many years now and it is truly a gem. I have somehow never wrote a review on the place though. Here's my take on the place. There are a couple of things that I truly enjoy, one being the buffalo wings. I really think they are some of the better buffalo style wings that you can find in the area. Another favorite of mine is the French dip, it's a must try if you like roast beef and good French bread. I just happened to try the steak sandwich on my last visit and think this is a new addition. I must say it was really good, a NY strip with Cuban mojo sauce laid upon the same French bread used for the French dip, definitely give it a try if you see it on the menu. Also as you would imagine they have a good selection of beers on draft and have some pretty good happy hour specials. In general it's a good place to watch sports with above average food. Check it out!

I love Grevey's for the outdoor bar, which is even heated in the winter. Also for the fact that I can walk home. Win win.

I came here for HH a couple times and they have great specials. The service and food is very good. I did come by for lunch one time and it will be the last time for that. I had to wait an hour for my food to touch the table. It was very busy, but my server didn't make it any better with attention. The owner however did stop by to make sure we had a smile on our face.

One word- disgusting. A once great local institution for wings and hamburgers is now a neglected and sad shadow of its former self. Service was neglectful. The chicken fingers we ordered were cold shriveled little odds and ends. Seats are ripped and the bathrooms are dirty. It would be better to drive to buffalo for wings than have to endure this place...

C'mon, man. I go to bars to get away from noisy kids. The beer here is good and cold. My nachos were great. Watching the game. Then two sets of parents bring in a basketball team of 7 year old males and the place blows up. They turn the kids loose on the basketball game and other coin-operated amusements and the place morphs from a decent sports bar into Chuck E. Cheese on meth. They're running around screaming with hands full of dollar bills like sailors on shore leave at a dock-side strip club. Beware. When the team was finally preparing to leave, I offered to buy a shot of espresso for each of the kids as they were headed home to rejoin their parents. My offer was declined.

I have been going to this bar for years. They have a huge selection of beer. The food is better quality than most sports bars. A lot of TVs and friendly staff.

This place is great, I'm glad it's right down the road from us. They regularly have LivingSocial deals, too! There aren't a ton of vegetarian options, but the ones that are there are solid. Veggie burger is good, veggie quesadilla is great, nachos are huge and ridiculous. They have always been accommodating, too--we'll order the cobb salad with the bacon and chicken boxed to go (for our dog) and have never had a problem. That salad is killer by the way!

Went here for lunch with some colleagues and as we walked over, one of them tried to prepare me, "Expect mediocre and you'll enjoy it." I gotta say, he was spot on. The service was the first thing I noticed. 5 in our party with the place half empty and it still took a long time to get anything done. One of the other lunch guests had encountered this waiter before and slowness seems to be his M.O. Slow initial contact, slow drinks, slowness in general. It didn't appear like he was in a hurry to do anything. The menu is bar food with hints at something better. I ordered the turkey/cranberry panini in an attempt to avoid the greasy burger options. The nicest thing I can say about the sandwich is that it was edible. It wasn't piping hot as I would expect in a panini instead coming in a hair above lukewarm. With as slow as everything had been I didn't want to replace the sandwich and wait another 15 minutes. The meal was satisfactory overall. It didn't wow me, but it wasn't horrible. I can see this establishment being a reasonably safe choice when you're tired of all other options and don't want to take a chance on a potentially crappy new place. Its close proximity to my work means I'll more than likely return, but honestly it's nothing to write home about.

Awesome beer selection, Hennepin is my regular but don't miss the Christmas ales during the holiday season! Food is great and service is awesome. The interior is tastefully decorated and looks very well maintained. Totally unexpected. I recommend the Chicken Brie sandwich, Skirt Steak and Quesadillas. Indeed, anything with Brie on it, especially the burgers!

  • YM C.

Food was good. Price was fair. I had their cobb salad and ordered their veggie quesadilla was really good except the sauce that accompanied it looked like it has been sitting out for awhile. My guests really enjoyed their foods too. Ate indoors. Pleasant and attentive wait staff. Not a huge lunch crowd but seems to offer a variety of items that may please differing palates. Will come again.

Greveys is a basic sports bar. There is nothing special about it that makes it drastically different from any other sports bar. The food is your basic bar food, a variety of burgers, chicken tenders, french fries and every other standard bar staples. Full bar with your choice of alcohol or most of your domestic beers with a few international in there as well. One thing I do enjoy about Greveys is that if you sit at a booth in the bar area, there are individual TVs at each booth that you can set to the channel of your choosing. This allows you to watch the game you want to watch if they aren't showing it on any of the big screens. Greveys is fun the customer service is fine and it's a good place to catch any sporting event, they just don't do anything extra special that really makes them stand out in my eyes.

Walked in for dinner a little after 6pm and the outside patio area was already packed with happy hour go-ers. The interior of the restaurant resembled less sports bar, more plantation home with a nice bar. The TV's at the individual tables are nice TVs, but we didn't use them. We got the nachos as the happy hour special and it was really good. Comes with a nice scoop of guac, some salsa, sour cream and some peppers or something that I don't eat. Unfortunately, our main dishes came out not long after the nachos. It wasn't that busy inside the restaurant but I think the timing should be planned better. Of course quick service is appreciated, but so is the ability to finish the appetizer prior to receiving the main course. I tried to go back to them after eating my Hadrian paninis but they seemed kinda soggy at that point. This restaurant has some coupons in the Entertainment book so take advantage! I felt that the value was appropriate here. I'd go back; they had a lot of appealing items on the menu. Their website says Wednesday is trivia night. I'd be interested in checking that out as well!

Overall had a great time eating here. We ate in the bar area inside and everyone really enjoyed their food. The french fries were to die for. All the food was good - we had sandwiches and burgers and a few beers. It was traditional, simple food done well. Our service wasn't the best though. Our server seemed a little more into looking at himself in the mirror behind our table than really listening to us. He wasn't attentive to our table and we ended up asking our busser/food deliverer to get us some more drinks. It didn't ruin our experience though. The bar area has a few games - golf and basketball shootout - which were fun to play after a few drinks. Will definitely go again for a nice cheaper dinner!

Great place to watch the Bills games. The food is ok. Their "Buffalo Wings" are undercooked and overly drenched in the wing sauce. Being from Buffalo originally, this is a little insulting to the original Buffalo Wings. Bar waitress would constantly walk by our empty drink glasses until we would have to wave her over to ask for more. We are in a bar right? Also, I do like that this place is a family place however putting the basketball hoops game in the bar is absolutely distracting especially during football!! Everyone at the bar was annoyed. Please place it somewhere else. The BIGGEST issue with Greveys is their bathrooms. HORRIBLE and ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!! You already have to overlook that they only have 2 stalls but when you are hosting games, your restrooms are being used a lot which would require constant maintenance with cleaning, sanitizing and restocking!! I would simply like management to utilize our reviews as constructive feedback to better their establishment. This could be a great place. Thanks.

It can be noisy depending on the crowd around the bar and the game being watched on TV. Its a sports bar, so don't be too surprised by some cheering when something happens during a sports game. The service has been good the few times I've been there. They used to have a double hotdog special on the menu which was delicious, but they got rid of that sometime in 2013. It was good, bacon and all. The outside part is nice depending on weather. Its rare to see an open air bar in Northern Virginia.

    (3)
  • Ryan T.

I give it one extra star due to having an outdoor patio which can be enjoyable. Otherwise, the food and service was horrible.

  • John Z.

We don't go here because it's awesome, we go here because it's close. There's nothing particularly great about Grevey's, it's just only one of two sports bars in the Merrifield area. The beer selection is average with a limited number of craft brews on draft, and a few more in bottles. They do have an interesting little outdoor bar - which is kind of odd for being in a strip mall. It looks like a cool hangout, because, hey, who doesn't like drinking outside? But, this is DC, and the outside bar is pretty much surrounded by asphalt, and around the corner from the Shell station. That's usually enough to convince me to drink inside in the air conditioning. So, don't go here to be wowed by anything. Go here if you need a place close to work to meet your friends for a quick happy hour.

I've been here every summer when the weather gets nice and their patio is open. Being the first day that its been nice enough to sit outside my friends and got a pitcher of budlight to start and it tasted it water. We switched to blue moon and that tasted even worst....I understand the whole concept of being a dive bar and the service is mediocre but that doesn't mean the drinks are too. I than order shots of lemon drops and requested them to be chilled.. just in case. The bartender had turned around and made a comment to his fellow co-worker " of course they are supposed to be chilled". Im most likely never coming back to the establishment based on my experience today.

Atmosphere: This was my first visit to Greveys in many years. It was a pleasant enough experience, if not particularly amazing. For a 'sports bar' the noise level was quite decent, though certainly a bit louder than a typical restaurant. The booths have individual screens, if you like that sort of thing. I found it more distracting than anything. Food: We shared an appetizer, shrimp and feta bruschetta, which was actually quite good. Generous portion for the price (plenty for two), and a really good flavor/texture. We each chose a sandwich and side salad for main course. I had the French Dip which was fine, though not incredible. My wife chose the beef brisket, which she was very pleased with. Both sandwiches were large enough that we took half of each home. My salad was a cucumber/tomato side salad which was quite good - better than most I've had lately. My wife had a serviceable side green salad. Service: The service was quite prompt, insofar as the server approached the table, took our drink order, returned a few moments later with the drinks and asked to take our order. At this point, we asked for more time with the menu. The server then returned less than three minutes later. And again a couple of minutes after that. Honestly, at that point, I felt a bit rushed. It was not particularly crowded, so no particular need for the speed. He then gave us the time needed (i.e. he waited for us to close our menus - -the pretty universal sign of readiness). From that point on, the only other complaint was that the main course was out before we had finished the appetizer, though only slightly, and what should I expect if I order a sandwich? Overall, a fine place, and one we'll probably return to, though it isn't exciting or special enough to earn most favored or 'regular' status.

After complaining about the inconsistent service in my previous review, I'm compelled to write an update after having dinner at Grevey's tonight. Party of 6 took only about an hour for dinner, on a Saturday night with a fair number of people there. Seems like they may have changed and improved their system, because a gentleman took the orders then wasn't seen again until time came to pay the bill. No problem, though, because in the meantime we had great service from Angella, who made sure everyone got what they ordered, drinks were promptly refilled, and everything was generally OK. I had French Dip again (I know...boring... but the darn thing is really good -- plenty of fat-free sliced beef on a great roll, with tasty juice to dip it in. Two others in the party had the Autumn Chopped Salad, which they both thoroughly enjoyed. I don't know if the change in service method was really the way things are normally done there now, or if they were just winging it, but it worked for us. I'm looking forward to coming back soon to see which it is, and possibly give Grevey's another star.

Today was my first meal at Grevey's. The menu was interesting and fairly priced and the booths were comfortable. I was enjoying my meal until I spotted a dead ladybug on the lettuce. The waiter apologized and did not charge me for the salad, but I will say I completely lost my appetite after that. In my opinion, the manager should have come out and apologized, or there should have been some type of compensation to make up for that unpleasant experience.

Food is very good from the new menu, however, very disturbing that the wait staff repeatedly tried to clear my plate while I still had one half sandwich left, and finally did so without ever offering a take home box...

Me and my family went to Grevey's by chance on Sat. afternoon. They had just re-instituted their brunch menu, and it was great! Me and my step-dad had the really afffordable ($6.95) Farmer's breakfast (3 eggs, toast, hashbrowns, bacon, and toast!!), and it was delicious. My mom had the Eggs Florentine, and she loved it. We sat outside on their "patio" area, and it was really nice and chill. The best thing about our visit was our waitress, Nazharie. She was AWESOME. Super nice and attentive. A great place with great service!

I went to Grevey's recently and I was very pleasantly surprised! The server was efficient and friendly. I had a coupon but the prices seemed fair for the generous portions on the plate. I also met Mr. Grevey who is very outgoing and community minded. No wonder since this restaurant has been in this location for years. I highly recommend it!

I ordered the reuben with fries. It was very greasy and did not have enough corned beef. The russian dressing was good though. I think for the price I could of made myself a better one at home. The fries were less than average. Service was slow. For our group of 9, we only got our beverages refilled and boxes for leftovers when we begged him to come over. He also got one of the orders confused. Unless you are coming here for the game, go somewhere else! If you are going to watch your team lose, it is even more depressing to eat the food here.

Been here about 10 or so times for happy hour during the week only. Good prices, decent draft selection, and the food I've had has been pretty good bar food (wings, burger, nachos, etc). Bartenders and servers have been good. Outdoors can get very crowded on nice evenings, but still a good spot regardless. If you're looking for good, low key, good priced time, def check it out.

It's a real neighborhood place to meet! Although not the most unique or greatest food, it's kind of nice to walk into one of those really neighborhood type nice places, the place you want to meet your friends at - surrounded by chains!. You'll find the well known fare, good comfort food... you'll enjoy a decent meal with a bit of down to earth staff that care about your being there. This should be considered the local areas' almost best kept secret. Most offerings my friends and I have had here are worth eating again - albeit infrequently.

    * 1 Star * I went over to Grevey's for the first time this past Saturday morning to watch the Virginia Tech vs. UVA game with other Virginia Tech fans. I've never done this before - so I was not sure what to expect - but I was very disappointed with what I found. As others have noted - each booth has a flat panel screen. The problem is - the TV service is a Standard Definition (SD) signal. Displaying SD content on a High Definition screen - and you have a crappy looking image that looks like absolute ass. I asked if there was a way to change our booth TVs to a HD version of the channel - but was told that it was not available. Not to worry though - I was told - they have a High Definition projector with HD service and they would turn it on as soon as the game started. So the game starts - and no projector. So I ask about this - the answer from two different employees is that the projector bulb is burned out. Well, if that is the case - why the hell don't you keep a spare bulb in stock? I thought this was supposed to be a Sports Bar? Then a couple of minutes later - magically - the projector works. So much for an informed staff. So then I ask them to turn off the lights over the screen and to close the blinds. They do turn the lights off - but only lower the blinds halfway. There is still to much light interfering with the HD projector - the image on the screen is dim and washed out. Then a number of folks notice that the game on the HD channel is several seconds ahead of the SD channel - and enough folks complained about this that they shut off the projector. I had a couple of cups of coffee - and the Buffalo Chicken Fingers. The food was okay - and the service was spotty. My big complaint is that if you are a Sports Bar - playing games and sports that folks want to watch to attract business - then why not offer them a quality viewing experience? If I were designing a Sports Bar - there would not be a single SD screen in the entire place. I ended up leaving before the end of the second quarter so that I could get home in time to watch the rest of the game in glorious High Definition and Surround Sound. It's to bad - as it was fun watching with my fellow Hokie's - even though I didn't know anyone. I sent Grevey's management an e-mail with my feedback - will be interesting to see how they respond. Until things change - I will NEVER go back.

I live within walking distance to Greveys so the convenience factor is great. In the summertime it's fun to grab a beer on the patio and watch the scene unfold. The servers/bartenders are fairly nice but hit or miss on being attentive. The only gripe I have about Grevey's is the crowd. I would categorize it as an older crowd and the creepiness factor is off the charts. I've been here for football a few times and although they categorize themselves as a "Buffalo Bills" bar, there are fans from every team here. I must give a warning that the Eagles fans that come here are the biggest douche bag a**holes you will ever meet, but hey that's everywhere you go! The food is actually decent but a bit overpriced. I enjoy the wings and the banana bread with pecan frosting alone gets 5 stars!!! Decent food and creepy crowd gets 2 stars in my book.

This place has a ton of potential. It's got a comfortable sports bar feel, outdoor patio and great parking. We dropped in for lunch on a Saturday. We were greeted nearly right away seated in a nearly empty dining room given brunch menus (brunch only 11am-2pm on Sat) after looking at the menu for a full 5 minutes being passed by a waiter that did not acknowledge us our hostess came back and took our order for drinks. She quickly came back with our drinks. I ordered the california burger, my fiancé got the omelette of the day but added bacon. 15 minutes later our waiter (first time he's checked in) came with a tray of drinks and although our drinks were half gone merely looked at us and muttered oh you already have drinks. Then he turned to walk back to the kitchen and took the new drinks with him. About 2/3 minutes later he came out with our food. Mine was correct as ordered but Jeff's did not have bacon in his omelette. Since we were trying to catch a movie and since we were hungry we decided to let it go. If we had tried to complain it wouldn't have mattered because our waiter never came back. Not to see if the food was good( It was) not to check if we needed anything (we didn't) while we understand he needed to wait on other tables we also noticed that he only had one other table. They were by us and seemed to get the same treatment. We finally flagged him down for some extra napkins. He finally brought them when we each had one bite left on our plates. He at that time asked us how our food was. (Um gone) "good" we said and he said "nice to hear" then left. Us with empty plates. Lol . As I said we were trying to catch a movie so we waited a bit but didn't see him, as we were shuffling out of the booth to ask for our check, he came and asked if everything was good. (Um yeah! We are ready to pay please) so we kept sitting and asked for our check.. 10 min later( empty restaurant) my fiancé went to the bar to attempt to pay. They passed each other and he arrived and presented me the check. I old him to find my fiancé at the bar....(LOL are you serious sir? ) As we are walking out having decided not to return we where informed that we where his first table ever. So I think management should have overseen our experience. And perhaps we will try again since the food was good... If customer service is better I will update this review if not... I will assume they lack good service.....

About what you would expect for a sports bar in a strip mall at an intersection of two main roads. OK menu selection, are often out of beers listed. Food is OK. Servers can be hit or miss. Some are on it and helpful, while others seem confused and clueless. Don't even think about asking them to split the check. Lots of seating space and can get very popular. Not a bad place to hang out if you are looking to meet locals.

Grevey's is a good-ole stand-by and fall back. The food is consistently good and the service has always been sufficient. I've never had to wait to be seated, even on a big game or fight night. Speaking of game night, if it is a nice enough night outside, the patio is the place to be. It's a very nice hangout and has some big screen TVs for catching that moment in the game! The prices are reasonable. They have your American food standards and sandwiches. As far as bar selections go, they have a full bar and a large selection of draft beers. Bar prices are pretty standard for Northern VA, about $5 for a premium pint.

The atmosphere wasn't too bad because there was a tv in every booth so it was perfect to watch the football games. It was our first time here, had the chili which was pretty good very meaty. My review is based on the buttermilk fried chicken entree which was problematic in several areas. The buttermilk fried chicken was crispy but too salty and there was still some uncooked batter on the bottom of the chicken and the chicken was very dry. Also the Mac and cheese was definitely Kraft Mac and cheese! Terrible! It came with spoon bread which tasted like a chunky cornbread which was definitely nuked in the microwave which came out so piping hot and soggy. I don't expect it to be made to order because that's unrealistic but at least put in the oven so I don't get a soggy super hot in temperature piece of mush. The whole meal was disappointing, our service was fine but one of the most annoying things was the hostess singing Christmas Carols in her high pitched scratchy voice which made me want to go over and punch her in the face! It was beyond annoying and just ruined our meal.

Grevey's is a good place to watch a game and enjoy a beer & nachos. Too bad we went there for dinner. The booths are tight and rock all over the place. Our orders came out screwed up. When they brought them back, the potatoes were then cold. Oh, our "silverware" wrapped in a paper napkin contained a knife. No fork. Our server was a good guy and tried hard.

Classless place. Very bad food, totally unpalatable. Terrible service, sticky and greasy environment throughout. You will need to bathe after sitting in there it smells so much like a combo if cleaning products and Sysco grease. Should be called Greasy's.

This is my regular lunch spot. The food is pretty good with a good selection of American Bar fare and weekly specials. Good place to unwind and watch ESPN news during lunch. It's not cheap and service is a little slow but friendly.

Exceptional bar food if you know what I mean. Good atmosphere. Outdoor patio with only half the TVs working. Seems to be a technical issue. Outdoor tap of Mill lite didn't taste quite right. But the bottles were cold. nice save. Would go back with friends and enjoy watching the older crowd drinking bloody Mary's

Love the Happy Hour, great deals on wings and hot dog........2 bucks for a nice quarter pound dog and a side of yummy fries.......what is not to like! Best steak and cheese in DC area - outstanding bread...........perfect............

I've gone twice to watch college football with my bf and it is the perfect place. It wasn't too crowded, the service was attentive without being pushy, and the food has been delicious. They have booths with individual TVs so you can watch whatever game you want. They are kindof hard to find though. You need to go into the shopping center off Gallows Rd, not Arlington Blvd

I've been here a few times for Happy Hours after work. It is ok. If you sit out on the patio and just order drinks its fine. If you are looking for food, skip it. The food is nothing to write home to mom about. I only ate food there once. I was with a few people and everyone got something different. No one was thrilled with their selection (cheeseburger, quesadilla and nachos) The service was terrible. The waiter came over and asked us for our drink order and came back asking for our food order about 20 minutes later. When he came back 2 of the girls I was with asked for more drinks and as I asked for mine he turned around and walked away. When he came back I said ok I'd like to order a drink, he huffed and said whatever and walked away. He came back with a drink but he never even asked me if I wanted to same thing he just assumed. We ate quickly and left. The restaurant itself is pretty dingy. There are flat screens for games but everything else is run down. If you want a good place to watch the game in that area go to Velocity 5. Its a lot cleaner and they have the same kind of food.

The only reason I really go to Grevey's is because I work nearby. It's you average American sports-bar type place. Food is ok for that type of food. Ambience is...sports bar. It's not bad, but nothing special either. The chicken club wrap is my go-to lunch item - a nice wrap with avocado in it.

To start, the floors were extremely sticky! I had to lift my feet once in a while so they would not stick. Went there we ordered the crab cakes which were $25... They were tiny and gross!!! Burned at the bottom...I could taste the old burned grease from the pan. The service was terrible. The waitress didn't say more than 4 words. It came to be 32 with 2 cokes. We were still hungry so we stopped at our local Chinese take out and we got the same amount of food for $7 and without it being burned...never coming back ever again

Greveys is my favorite spot in Falls Church for happy hour. Their heated outdoor patio with multiple TVs makes it so perfect year round to sit outside and watch your favorite sports team win, and their cheap beer prices make it perfect to watch your favorite team lose and drown your sorrows! The food is also a win.

Just got back from an evening at Grevey's and my god what an experience. I guess it's my fault for trying to make an evening out of Grevey's in the first place. The problems started as soon as we saw our waitress; she was rude, short, inattentive, and unaccommodating. My wife was pissed at the terrible initial service, but I tried to see things from our server's side as it was sort of busy. I assumed that once things settled down, she would treat us a little better. That moment never came. Things settled down, but we were still treated horribly. After our table (four-top) had our entrees (and the food sucked, BIG TIME by the way), we watched the games and drank some pitchers. It seemed like every five minutes she came by our table exclusively and asked us if everything was "all right." This type of "all right" was different from the attentive, good-service-oriented "all right," and really was of the "get the (expletive) out of my section, all right" variety. I'm really not sure if we looked like shitty tippers (and we are not) in her eyes. Maybe that was the justification for why we were rushed out of her section, meanwhile middle-aged white people sat there hassle-free. I can't remember being treated so poorly in recent memory. We live in the area and we love sports, so we had hoped that this spot could be a new local hang out. It's a shame that the new Mosaic District won't have a sports bar. I've never been to Velocity Five, but I can't imagine it being much worse. I guess just go into DC or Arlington if you're looking for a sports bar. Advice for management/ownership: Invest in training, make sure your employees know the menu (and don't just say "coke" when asked what sodas you have), hire service-oriented people, observe your employees regularly, and give them feedback or remedial training. Maybe go a few "doors" down to Elephant Jumps and see what superior service really is and try to instill that sense of service in your employees. The demographics of this area are changing rapidly. Young-ish looking people, believe it or not, have money. Teach, train, and mentor your staff, and maybe they can help you retain customers, or you can let them stagnate and you can keep on keeping on.

Grevey's is the UK (University of Kentucky, not United Kingdom) central of Northern VA. When Calapari and Wall were making their run for the Championship this was the place to watch it. Makes sense if you know Kevin Grevey's history (UK basketball '72-'75, Bullets '75-'83). When you get the bball fever its hard to skip on the opportunity to watch them play their in-state rivals or the "other team in blue" here in Grevey's. The fans come from all walks of life and ages, and if you're from Kentucky you just might run into someone you once knew. There are 2 main projectors where you can watch the game on the screen, and several smaller screens around the booths. The crowd is pretty well behaved too for a sports bar where team pride and alcohol tends to get people in trouble. While the premier location for UK fans, the food is your standard american restaurant/bar fare. Wings, cheese sticks, nachos, burgers and dogs, fill the menu while not offering anything uniquely Kentuckian or even Mid-west. Expect to pay an extra dollar or so over TGIF for food that is not much different. I'm surprized they dont drop Bagel Bites into the microwave and call it a day. Cuz you know; when pizza's on a bagel, you can have pizza any time.

Grevey's has probably the best wings in the DC area. They are great and done Buffalo style in spirit not just in name. That means they have butter in the sauce - which is something lots of local wings lack. They have a great clientele and game days you will find lots of Kentucky fans there as the owner used to play for Kentucky before playing for the bullets. I've heard from a couple of people that there is a big Buffalo Bills following here. It is something about the days when games were blacked out and so they would show games that weren't blacked out. And Buffalo proved to be a favorite. I don't think this is the case anymore and the bartender, Jesse, mentioned that more and more people just stay home for games. Maybe a sign of the times or the tougher drunk driving laws. They have the patio which is nice in the summertime. It is pretty close to Gallows but it still feels like it is nestled away somehow. Overall, the prices aren't all that cheap. I haven't managed to make a happy hour her for a long time so I don't remember but regular prices are comparable to other sports bars in the area. Grevey's should definitely be on your short list to watch a game, grab a beer, and enjoy some great wings.

This place is amazing. Great sports bar atmosphere with absolutely amazing food! The happy hour is great, the food is great, the outdoor patio is amazing. There are TVs and a bar outside. Who could ask for anything better on a nice day?? They have a great beer selection and the wings are the best.

I went to Grevey's today to give them a try because they had a Living Social deal. The food was A+, our waiter was awesome and Kevin Grevey even stopped by our table to say hello and make sure everything was to our satisfaction. We just had a French Dip, a Reuben and some bread pudding with ice cream for dessert but everything was delicious, high quality and served up hot and pretty darn fast too. After today I would go back again and gladly pay full price. Also look forward to having a cocktail at their outdoor patio. It looks really great - flat screen TVs and all. Would be a nice place to catch a beer and a game along with some great food.

For a sports bar, they have pretty great food! They have a variety of salads that are all really tasty. Their food menu includes everything you'd expect to be a bar classic, but expand the burger and sandwich selection with interesting takes on cheeses and other condiments. The waitstaff has always been fine and they have a TV at every table. There's a sporty chill atmosphere...like a sportsbar. And they have an outside area with big screen TVs and heaters, so it's not even bad in the winter. Summary: If you want to watch sports with friends but don't want gross bar food, this place is a great option.

This is my favorite place in town! The food is great! Always tasty. The waiters/waitresses/bartenders rarely change so if you frequent the restaurant much, you're always recognized and welcomed. Happy hour has always been a favorite time here for my friends and I. Cheap drinks and food! The crowd is always diverse and lively. Waiters/waitresses always come around when they see a glass 3/4 of the way finished. The sandwiches are delicious! Nachos, spinach and artichoke dip, calamari, wings, and buffalo tenders are great starters. And I LOVE their reuben! The best time of year to come to Grevey's is summertime. They have an outdoor patio/bar area and although the view of Gallows road isn't all very exciting, the vibe from the people and crew are contagious... Friendly and active! Its a great place to be if you're looking for a place to eat, drink, and enjoy the nice weather. I definitely recommend this place if you like a fun, vivacious setting!

Unless this restaurant is trying to unsuccessfully challenge Dave & Buster's, the purchase of a single loud and annoying basketball game is the second dumbest decision this place has made. The first would be hiring our waitress. Terrible place that ruined our Super Bowl experience. Save yourself and go somewhere else.

It's a decent sports bar. Their burgers are great. They also have a great outdoor bar with tables around it. It faces the mall parking lot but still is awesome for a warm summer evening. It gets pretty crowded but the friendly waiters do a decent job going around tables frequently. Inside they do have non-smoking tables, though the bar gets pretty smoky.

We were back at Grevey's this weekend and grabbed some food. We started off with nachos, that were out of this world. I normally don't order nachos because I think I make them better than anyone else, but R and I were starving and wanted a substantial appetizer to share and nachos seemed the logical choice. The menu says they're made with homemade salsa and I believe it. It was delicious. The guacamole was amazing too! The menu didn't say it, but I'm convinced that was homemade too. R and I literally didn't speak for about 5 minutes while we stuffed our faces with nachos and fought over the chips that had the most toppings on them. R had a chicken and brie sandwich and I had the chicken club wrap. Both came with fries. The sandwiches were alright, we both felt the chicken was a little on the dry side. The fries weren't very impressive though, I'd guess the oil they were cooked in either needed to be changed and/or wasn't hot enough when the fries were dropped in. The place wasn't very busy when we arrived, but things were beginning to pick up as we were leaving. I still really like it here although the food wasn't what I was hoping it would be (aside from the nachos). I would give the food a try again when they're busier, but I'll definitely be back for the beer and trivia.

I've been to Grevey's several times and always enjoyed very good food, beer and ambiance. Recently, my son and I had two different chicken on pannini (?) for dinner, and both were excellent. I was pleasantly surprised when Mr. Grevey himself came by to ask how things were going. I would like to see faster service at Grevey's, but it seems that they keep the staffing level low. It just always takes awhile to get server's attention to both order and pay. One plus is the individual TV's at each booth in one section. A problem is that you can not change the channel yourself, but must wait for a server to do it. Parking is not a problem at Grevey's and the outside bar is a unique place to spend a mellow mild evening. Bar service was quick and friendly.

It wasn't busy here early on a Sunday night that wasn't busy. We were seated quickly but then things never went well. We returned 3 pieces of silverware for food or fingerprints being on them. I got the steak fajitas. They had no seasoning and were well done. Also they came with very little salsa, sour cream or cheese. They did come with very salty black beans and rice. I'm not sure why there was rice. My wife had fish tacos. They were deep fried. She commented that fish tacos were just ok, but the sauce was good. My daughter had mac n cheese that was very cheesy. Service was ok, but they never offered to refill our drinks. Good beer selection though. Good place to watch a football game. Plenty of better places to go to in the area for dinner out.

This place is ok. When I went to the bar area outside by myself, I ordered a grey goose and soda, asked for a lime, and received a lemon and vodka water. Seems insignificant but it was a sign for the rest of the night. The bartender then left and did not come back for 15 to 20 minutes, and my drink was empty. I placed my glass on the bar mat. None of the wait staff, who were looking in my direction, decided to see if I needed something. Although the same wait staff served themselves from the bar while I sat there, the customer, drinkless. The place was empty so from my perspective no excuse. The food is what you expect, average American bar food. I had wings which were good, and the food came quick. Also ordered a burger with fries, and fries were clearly frozen fries, nothing hand cut or fresh. My table was also super wobbly. It is owned by a former NBA Bullets player. That team does not exist anymore and maybe this bar shouldn't exist anymore either. It's just ok, and a different owner could probably make the place much better.

I remember this place consistently having the best chili in the area, up until I stopped coming here 4-5 years ago due to consistent poor service. After falling in love with the chili at another local bar (Cue Club Cafe), I decided to give Grevey's another chance...and to see how the chili compared. 3 of us were seated by the hostess at a booth at 10:25pm on 9/13/15. It's now 10:50pm and we're still waiting to see a server. The hostess has walked past us 3 times now. On to Cue Club Cafe!

Stopped by here on a Sunday afternoon hoping to see a Packer game whilst killing some time. Most of the TVs, including both big screens were on a Buffalo Bills game. Packer game on only two small screens, one of which was outside and barely visible. Place was packed. Didn't stay, so can't comment on the food/drink.

A friend from Buffalo comes here for the wings, he says they remind him of home so when I stopped here on Friday I ordered some wings. They are pretty good traditional buffalo wings. I ordered a burger. It was OK, not great but enjoyable especially since I had not had one in a while. My friend got a summer salad plate with pasta, avocado, tomatoes, mozzarella balls, pita pieces, and some pesto. She was surprised at how enjoyable it was. We sat inside near the windows and were able to have a long conversation with our nice waitress checking in regularly. I don't know that it will become my go to location but it is certainly good for the occasional stop by with a friend and may be a good spot to catch some football once the season gets going.

This place is very convenient and spacious. Great for office parties. The food is mediocre. Your basic mod tier restaurant quality. A step up from Applebee's. The service was horrible the last time I went. Didn't check in their guests drinks. And rudely interrupted speeches being given with food orders that weren't even for our party. Please work on your courtesies people!

I was here for a work related meet and greet so I can't speak fully to the quality of food or service. Their brownies were ok, very sweet and kind of dry. The potato skins were loaded and had a nice crunch to them. I also had a Bold Rock hard cider, which was crisp and refreshing. When I asked the server what types of cider Grevey's had on hand, he had no clue - maybe he was new - but he brought me a menu to peruse the offerings. The location itself is a little bit difficult to get in and out of, especially during peak times, but this place might be a good happy hour meet up and worth one more visit from me.

This place is an absolute, ' NO GO!" If the bartender wasn't the worst ever, the manager was the worst I've ever seen, or heard of. My parents said this place has gone down hill. They said they gave it a few last efforts. They gave up. So did my husband and I. They were nasty

The outside seating is cool, although no matter where you sit, getting food there after 10 can be a rather daunting task. Service is INCREDIBLY slow even when it isn't crowded. The food is borderline garbage straight from the freezer, into the microwave, and on your plate, and to top it off very bland. Lean Cuisine could have made me satisfied compared to what they served. The general ambiance is cool with having a TV next to every table.

I had a coupon here from restaurant.com so I was happy to try this place out. Upon entering I thought this place was interesting as it's located within a strip mall in the Merrifield area. I think this place might be really a great spot when it's warmer as they have an outdoor bar area. Sadly it is winter time so we were to eat and drink indoors, Upon arrival we were seated with menu. We waited awhile before our server even greeted us. Another service greeted the couple across the way from us after they had been seated after us. It was annoying to be waiting on our server to finally show up and that is was how the rest of the night was with our service interaction, We tried to ordered the fried oysters but sadly they were out. Also we found out no additional seasonal draft beers. :( for beer we ordered off the menu. I got the DC Brau and hubby got Devil backbone Vienna lager. Off to our food orders, My husband ordered the NFL burger. This burger was close to 1 pound of beef with two different cheese and bacon. The burger was served to perfection and the fries were crispy. I ordered the salmon asparagus salad. It was good but nothing to really write home about. I think this place could have potential for hanging out and enjoying a nice happy hour. I wouldn't recommend bringing a date here. Also be aware that when we showed up an undercover cop car was in the parking lot "pulling" someone over.

This is your average sports bar but with a spacious inside, cool patio outside, and games! Each booth inside also has its own tv screen, and there are larger screens elsewhere. I came here on a Tuesday night, and I was pleasantly surprised at the space. It was crowded and loud. We had chips and salsa, a variety of entrees, and the chocolate lava cake. Everyone enjoyed their entrees, but the standout was the chips and salsa. The chocolate cake was way too sweet, as is with most sports bars. Our waiter was good, but the service was unbearably slow. Perhaps the kitchen was overloaded with orders, but it took forever to get chicken tenders and a reuben sandwich. Our waiter was good on refilling drinks and bringing the bill though. Prices are alright and so is the parking. Bottom line: If you're looking for a place to hang out, feel free to go here. It's nice that you get your own personal tv screen at the table.

We lived down the street and made this our favorite place to eat after we moved further away! Love the food and atmosphere! I'm not much of a "bar" type of place to eat, but Greveys is definitely different! Staff is always so friendly when we take our little ones there. They always so kind to put a channel on at our booth. They have the best cheeseburgers and their happy hour section is so worth it!

THis place has been around since God was a child. It is your basic garden variety sports bar that has been unevenly updated; flat screens monitoring sporting events in every booth, but water damaged ceilings and the omnipresent smell of mildew. The food is good, but the service has universally been mediocre to bad. The parking lot is a nightmare to get in and out of. Their nachos are fantastic, and the avocado sandwich is wonderful. I will have to be either really bored or really desperate to go back.

This place almost killed of family member with severe food allergies! Then they refused to help us call an ambulance or get any sort of medical help! DO NOT EAT HERE! My mother is deathly allergic to several spices including paprika. She carries a laminated card that lists her allergies. While we were there she pointed to a grilled shrimp salad, gave her card of allergies to the waiter and asked that he check and see if she could eat the salad. Waiter disappeared for a minute then returns and says its totally fine. Paprika was clearly written on the card. A few minutes later she starts to go into shock. We call the waiter over and ask him what was on the shrimp. He says "oh just paprika." We yell that paprika was on the list of allergies and he says "I didn't read the list, I just gave it to the cook." Turns out the cook could not read or speak english. At this point the waiter goes on a smoke break, the manager says sorry but you can't leave until you pay for your meal and my parents run next door to the CVS to try to down enough benadryl to keep her lungs from closing up. I spent a full 10 minutes waiting for my waiter to return from his break to pay the bill. At no time does the manager offer to help us call an ambulance or ask around the restaurant for a doctor even though we are all panicked and clearly causing a scene. She doesn't even apologize, she sends the cook out to apologize for the restaurant. Thankfully we got my mom the medical help she needed and she is fine but I cannot stress this enough - NEVER EAT HERE.

I have been to Grevey's before but today i went to watch football! What a great place to do that! If you are a fan of an out of town team, they have booths that each have their own personal TV with direct tv so they can get all the games! I did not try it, but they have an extensive brunch for $15.99 on sunday mornings that looked great. Their nachos were tasty and i had one of the best cheese steaks i've had since i lived in Philly! I would say its a little expensive (Nachos 10.50, beers 4.50) but a good place to catch an out of town game :)

Went to watch Rampage vs. Evans here, no cover, sounds great to me, sat at a table on the inside telling the manager that we just wanted to watch the fight and drink some beer. About 1 hour into it the manager walks by and says we have been there "2" hours and we need to order something other than their overpriced beers, I mean prior to this we are really enjoying watching the fights and the tv screens and seating are cool so we are in a good mood so I tell the manager fine, i'll just order some nachos even though we already told you we were only here for the fight. However the manager tells my friend that we have to keep ordering because the kitchen is about to close... I am still in a good mood and even though what she said is a bit annoying I just shrug it off since I am too focused on the fights, my friend however is really annoyed and he talks directly to her and says that we specifically only came for the fight and beers and not food since we just ate before and would gladly have just sat at the bar if she had said something prior, but instead she basically tries to pick on us because the rest of the people there are old while we are on the other side of the age spectrum. And the whole argument was that we would gladly move but on the flip side it's not like we were occupying the whole room, there was barely anyone in the main viewing area and plenty of seats available. But basically she gives up and I just order some 9$ nachos that look like dorritos with melted kraft cheese on top and some globs of congealed sour cream (I ate about 4 chips and just left it on the table to deter the manager from coming and bothering us because the Main Event was about to start and after watching 5 unknown people fight I just wanted to see the main event). All in all the sitting area on the inside was pretty nice, the manager kept adjusting the fucking volume on the tv non stop throughout the night though which was annoying but hey I got to see the fight which was all that mattered. I also realized that there were two motherfuckers who basically ordered nothing but ice tea every 15 minute interval the whole night (smart) instead of any food haha. Would I come again? possibly, I'd just sit at the bar next time and would have appreciated not being hassled or hoodwinked. Would my friend come? Nope, he definitely was pissed about it, and the whole time he was saying how much fun it was here and how nice the seating was here and how we should come back again with a bigger group for dinner and watch other fights here UP until the lady manager decided to come and try to hoodwink us. I will say though that the waitress we had was pretty cool the whole time and kind of laughed about the situation with us after the manager left, so maybe it was only one of the managers etc. and the others are cool.

Will never go here again! Earlier today I went to watch the Giants game. As a big fan, I called to make a reservation and specifically asked to be seated where I could view the game. I even asked the hostess when I got there to double-check that I would be able to see the game. After 20 minutes I noticed the screen was continually flickering. I approached the manager and told him about this. He said he knew it was broken and I shouldn't have been sat there. When I asked to be moved to another part of the restaurant where the game was playing I was rudely told there was nothing they could do. I understand that technical difficulties do occur but the way everything was handled was completely unprofessional. To make matters worse, when my boyfriend asked our waitress where the bathroom was she informed us that both bathrooms (men and women) were not working and we could walk down the street to the CVS or the gas station to use the bathroom! I don't think it's even legal for a restaurant to be opened with no bathrooms. All in all, there are much better sports bars in the area and I will never again return.

I have only been here a few times, and I know what to expect overall - a sports watching, beer drinking crowd. More crowded for big games (football in particular, and in that vein playoff and championship games even moreso). Grevey's is a Hokie Club hang (Virginia Tech) so if there's one of those games on, expect some VA Tech peeps. It all depends on what servers and chefs are working that night that will make a visit to Grevey's a bad or good one for me. One time my waiter was great and the food was decent for what it is (typical bar food here like skins, mozzarella sticks, wings) . A few weeks later the food was just yuck and our waitress maybe came to our table once. TIP: As with most sports bars, stick with beer here. The mixed drinks will cost you SIX bucks. Oh, and they don't serve shots here either :(

I went here during the world cup. Considering how loud, obnoxious, inappropriate, and generally really drunk our rather large group was, I give them credit for not kicking us out. I almost felt bad for the parents who decided bringing their small children to a sports bar on a weekend afternoon during the world cup being subjected to us. But then I didn't, because they decided to bring their small children to a sports bar on a weekend afternoon during the world cup. Decent beer selection on tap, plenty of tables and TVs to watch the game (if you care about that). The food was good for bar food. The prices are reasonable. It's close to my 'hood, so I will probably be back.

The plantain tostadas were not good. Pulled pork sandwich was excellent, as were the chili dogs. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here, but it's fine for a low key hassle free night out. American style flare with various Latin inspired dishes.

This place is the epitome of Meh. Not being a huge sports fanatic, I went here mainly because it is one of the few places in the DC area that has Buzztime trivia (Tortoise & Hare and Thirsty Bernie did away with Buzztime; ergo, they lost me as a customer for good). I will never understand why places south and west of DC have Buzztime but it's hard to find a place inside the Beltway that has it. Sports bars are a dime a dozen around here, but Buzztime trivia bars are scarce. Back to Grevey's---they do have Buzztime, and the players seem to be loyal customers. I ordered a draft of Stella and it was bottom-of-the-keg, and the bar tender had an attitude when I nicely mentioned that & asked for another. He grudgingly gave me another beer. Why would I lie about flat beer??? The food is comfort style--not bad. I don't get the bar outside. I suppose someone thought it was a good idea to have a bar outside facing a parking lot and scenic Gallows Road.

I'm this close to giving a 3 but just couldn't bring myself to do so. I went here today with my son for lunch. We were seated quickly as the place was not busy. One thing I noticed was the staff seemed to be pissed off. Not very friendly to us and I enjoy meeting staff with a friendly greeting when I come in as I know restaurant work doesn't pay well and you're not always treated with much respect. Our server turned out to be friendly enough but even he wasn't all that friendly. We started with an order of hot wings which were pretty good. Crispy just like I requested but not overcooked. I ordered a Hamburger (medium well) and it came out way overdone. Dried out and charred. I didn't have time to send it back. My son ordered Chicken Fajita's. I tasted the chicken and it was just okay. I make it better on the grill at home. For what you pay here I don't believe the restaurant measures up.

Grevey's has great nachos, solid wings, an awesome brownie sundae, and booths with individual flat screen TVs. They also have an all you can eat Sunday brunch with all the trimmings that's a screaming deal at under 20 bucks. Stay far away from their mixed drinks. Especially their seasonal specials. I once ended up with a bizarre bubblegum pink monstrosity. I don't recommend the french onion soup. Order entrees with care. If you are trying to decide between the London broil and the burger, definitely go with the burger. Overall, this place works out very well as a neighborhood bar, especially if you get one of the TV booths and order the nachos with chicken. I wouldn't recommend making a special trip here unless: A) you are desperate to catch an unpopular sporting event or B) you have been searching for good nachos (your search is over) My rating is 4 stars for people who enjoy bar food and can get here in under 20 minutes.

Fun atmosphere and decent food. Not a family place though. Definitely a fun place for your friends who want to drink.

I wasn't too excited to come here but my girlfriend convinced me. Boy was I surprised. Friendly service, good food, and a nice atmosphere. I would come here again and I think anyone could find something on the huge menu. I highly recommend the french au jus and the sudden death dessert.

I have been a weekly regular at Grevey's since i moved to the area in 2001. Although i enjoy the camraderie of the friends and neighbors i have met here, i feel like the restaurant has become less and less friendly to regulars. If you don't want people to play music on a jukebox, Don't have a jukebox. If you need an easy way for people to pick up take orders, have people check with the hostess to bring it to them (it's not hat man people, after all) don't take away the most coveted place for regulars to sit at the bar. If there is a problem that needs addressing, managers need to engage patrons to explain why things are the way they are, maybe "make things right" instead of telling you to go read a sign on a wall and then rudely walking away. This place has SO MUCH POTENTIAL, but falls shorts so often due to poor decisions made in customer service policy. The jukebox to me is a huge issue, because music/volume is at the whim of the bartender or manager, and also depends if that employee likes the music, or, likes the patron. Like i said before, if you want to control the music that much, just don't have a jukebox. It is painful to write this review, but i feel that the only way that these concerns will be heard are to post them and hope that they will at least be discussed with management.

A good place to kick off the night. Outdoor seating & bar area and a nice big indoor seating area. Our group of 6 was mainly here for drinks, but ended up ordering some bar food. We were seated in a booth with a TV at the table and there multiple TVs throughout the dining area. Got the wings and nachos. Nachos were a home run. Good portion and felt very home made. The wings were meaty and OK. This place gets four stars because of the service. The wait staff was on it and none of our drinks were dry and the food came out fast. The overall experience was good. We were going to move on to a new location, but decided to stay longer because we were happy.

Sports bar with flat beer is just a pure embarrassment. I got a completely flat Guinness with California burger that was so dry and with cilantro when I had specifically asked to check there's no cilantro. It's very disappointing to find that my neighborhood bar is not up to decent standard. The only reason I'm giving one star is for fries. At least they were hot and crispy.

I work in the area & my co-workers & I LOVE this place for Happy Hour! Decent outdoor patio but even better is the dark, dive-atmosphere of the bar. Cheap, cold beer and classic bar food. Consistently attentive service from the bar staff as well. I would choose this place HANDS DOWN over the meat-market, over-crowded chain places across the street!

I've finally decided to stop going there. The place smells like a stale bar mop and the food has gotten horrible. I live a few blocks away and want hard to like Grevey's, but it's impossible. The service is deplorable on weeknight's and abysmal on Friday nights. My wife and I went in last night for dinner on the way home from work and it started out bad and got worse. My wife ordered a mojito. It tasted like crap, so she sent it back. 2nd one came and tasted like crap. She sent it back. Bartendar came over with a big chip on his shoulder and said "if you don't like them, quit ordering them." Turns out he was making them with basil leaves, not mint. No apology. Warm salad on a hot plate. Burgers ordered medium that came burnt on one side and grey on the other. Cheese on the burnt side. Sent back. 35 minutes later, two bloody rare burgers, no cheese. We've been going there off and on for about 9 years. We're done. BTW, whoever said they had cheap beer prices musta grow'd up rich. $3 for a nasty ass Bud Light Lime is re-dick.

Went for a late lunch with 3 colleagues the other day. We all ordered burgers. When the food arrived and they put the plates in front of us, two of us knew our orders were wrong. Another server walked over and told us that we had gotten another tables burgers and they had gotten ours. The other table already had our food so they had to make us new meals. Instead of leaving the food in front of is so we could at least munch on the fries, they took it away. Didn't make much sense since they have to throw it away. Well, our two friends ate and over 20 minutes later we finally got our food when they were done. The server barely apologized and we figured he'd send a manager over. Not only did a manager never come over to apologize, but he brought the check and nothing was comped. Seriously? You screwed up our orders and brought us our meals after our table mates had finished theirs and you didn't even comp my iced tea??? So when I made a half-joking comment about it to the server, he comes back and says that the manager made the burgers half price. HALF PRICE? REALLY??? Maybe that's the norm here, but in CA, the mgr would have come over and we would have had our burgers comped. This place is GHETTO! They are cheap, the service is mediocre, and even though their chili burgers are the bomb, I won't be going back. I can find another chili burger. This place has been redone and the inside is nice, but the bathrooms are still gross. Overall, don't waste your time here.

I only live 1 mile away from Grevey's and tried it for the first time on Thursday night. Absolutely nothing went right and nothing was good about it. There was maybe 2 or 3 other tables when we went in . We sat down and asked to use an internet offer from goout2eat.com which we just verified was valid before leaving, but the waiter said his manager wasn't accepting it. We then order a pitcher of blue moon and food. The beer came out as 3 pints instead since they didn't have enough for a pitcher. The food we ordered took too long, like 30-40 min to come out and the chips and salsa we ordered didn't even come out first. The waiter was no where to be seen except when bringing out food. The meat in my paninni tasted old. Although the burger that we ordered looked good, it was cold. I'm never going back to this place.
